Approximately 22 members of the Live Oaks Garden Club volunteered to weed a three foot wide area under each of the thirty live oak trees lining both sides of Airport Road. Some members choose to care for one tree, while others volunteered to do four. The weed most prevalent around the three year old trees was the tenacious Bermuda Grass. Besides weeding, the group also pruned small dead limbs from the lower trunk of the trees. Now, when driving along Airport Road, slow down and give a salute to the young thriving Live Oak Trees beautifying Airport Road.
